Hello,
I am serving on the MRSA Executive as a Director-At-Large. I work in the Faculty of Arts, Administrative Assistant to the Dean. This is my fifth role at MRU. I began in the Registrars Office, Continuing Education Registration. My first introduction to the MRSA was before I completed my first year when I joined the MRSA PD Days Committee.
Following my service with the PD Days Committee, I became a member of the MRSA Executive. I worked on the Labour Relations Committee, the Audit Committee, then served in the role of Treasurer. After some time away from the MRSA Executive I stepped back in and was briefly a VP on the Executive however, family medical needs required me to step back. I came to the MRSA with volunteer experience on boards, with budgets and various other volunteer roles and duties. Life and family have been great teachers.
What is there to say about me, well, I wear a lot of hats. She/Her, Woman, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, creative, and administrative professional . . . Joy giving things in my life are laughing, encouraging, story sharing, movies, tv, books, learning and sharing wisdom, dancing, and all sorts of eclectic things.
Over my tenure at MRU, one thing remains true, we have a strong employee group, people who show up every day, doing their best. I am grateful to be a part of serving our community.
