Naomi Jamieson

Greetings & Salutations to all of you wonderful MRUvians! My name is Naomi Jamieson and I’m really looking forward to being a representative with the MRSA. I’ve worked at MRU for some 17 years. I started with The Languages Institute and am now Admin to the Chair in The Department of English, Languages, and Cultures, Faculty of Arts. I absolutely love my job! I was born to be an Administrative Assistant.

This will be my third time serving on an MRSA Committee. I first began with PD Days as the recording secretary, then Chair. Now, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to serve as a Director at Large. This will be a new experience that I’m really looking forward to. My hope is to serve, support, and engage in any way that I can that will be helpful to the Committee, the Members, and the wider Mount Royal Community.

Born and raised in Calgary, I love my city, my home! Being in and around the beautiful Rocky Mountains fills me with life and energy. I’m so privileged to have been born in Calgary, AB, Canada! I try to be grateful & thankful for everyday and the things that come my way, even the tough stuff. As I know there is meaning in everything we do and face each day. It is my wish to be solution oriented as this is the way that we all move forward.
