On April 4, 2025, the MRSA and MRU were able to reach a settlement to resolve the four outstanding labour disputes between the parties. This settlement is a compromise allowing the MRSA to continue pursuing several unrepresented MRU employee positions, and for the parties to return to bargaining.
The MRSA and MRU have been able to confirm dates to recommence bargaining:
May 6, 29 & 30
June 2, 3 & 5
The committees are considering additional dates over the summer months. These dates have yet to be confirmed.
Currently, numerous articles remain outstanding, and MRU has not provided its monetary package at bargaining. We expect to have more updates shortly.
