Your MRSA Collective Bargaining Committee engaged in bargaining with the MRU Board of Governors Bargaining Committee on May 8 & 9, 2024. During these dates the respective committees discussed several non-monetary issues and were able to reach agreement on several articles. The following Collective Agreement Articles were signed off/closed: Articles 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 33, 36, and 37. There was also significant discussion on issues of importance for both the MRSA and MRU.
We are looking forward to continuing bargaining on the currently scheduled dates of June 5 & 6, and 19 & 20. If it is determined that either party may need more time to prepare, it is likely that one of the earlier dates will be cancelled. This decision would be made in the best interest of being informed and ready to proceed with bargaining constructively.
