Dear colleagues,
Mount Royal Staff Association (MRSA) echoes the sentiments and support of MacEwan Staff Association (MSA) and the University of Alberta Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA). As post secondary education public sector staff, we are in solidarity with the actions of our Alberta health services workers who have been impacted by the UCP decision to eliminate approximately 11,000 jobs in the health care sector through outsourcing, as well as the elimination of jobs in K -12 education, post secondary education and thousands of others employed in various public sector roles.
We encourage our MRSA members to show support for these impacted workers. Support can include writing letters and making phone calls to your MLA, or participating in pickets and peaceful demonstrations on your personal time.
