2020 General Election: Call for Nominations

Dear colleagues,

Executive Board and Committee service offers opportunities for staff to grow personally and professionally, to develop leadership skills, gain unique experience, and make lasting connections with colleagues across campus. If you are looking to broaden your MRU experience, the MRSA has a role for you! 

Help strengthen the Association into the future by considering the following roles:  

President: One member, two-year term 2020-22. Candidates must have served a minimum of one year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve-month employee. 

Vice-President: One member, two-year term 2020-22. Candidates must have served a minimum of one year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve-month employee. 

Treasurer: One member, two-year term 2020-22. Candidates must have served a minimum of one year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve-month employee. It is strongly recommended that the Treasurer has working knowledge of all accounting principles in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

 Director at Large: Four members, two-year terms 2020-22

Please complete the Nomination Form if you would like to nominate a colleague.

Please complete the Nomination Campaign Statement if you would like to pursue a nomination for one of the above roles–your nomination by a colleague is required.If you would like to include a campaign video, infographic, your website or LinkedIn profile etc., links may be included in your nomination campaign statement.

The call for nominations will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.

Candidates will be announced on Thursday, April 23 and may canvass until April 29. 

The election will be held online from 9 a.m. Thursday, April 30 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 1.

Results will be shared on Monday, May 4.
