General Election: Call for Nominations

Dear Colleagues,

Would you like to broaden your MRU experience?  The MRSA has a role for you!

Executive Board and Committee service offers opportunities for staff to grow personally and professionally, to develop leadership skills, gain unique experience, and make lasting connections with colleagues across campus.

Help strengthen the Association into the future by considering the following roles:

PresidentOne member: two year term 2018-20.  Must have served a minimum of one (1) year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve month employee.  

Vice-PresidentTwo members: one, one year term 2018-19; and one, two year term 2018-20. Must have served a minimum of one year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve month employee.

TreasurerOne member: one year term 2018-19. Must have served a minimum of one year as a representative on the Executive and be a full-time, twelve month employee. It is strongly recommended that the Treasurer has working knowledge of all accounting principles, as well as QuickBooks, in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

Director at Large: Six members: four, two year terms 2018-20; and two, one year terms 2018-19.

Negotiations CommitteeFour members: for the duration of the next round of negotiations. The committee will convene in Fall 2018.

EDT Committee: Five members: four, two year terms 2018-20; and one, one year term 2018-19.

Please complete the Nomination Form if you would like to nominate a colleague.

Please complete the Nomination Campaign Statement if you would like to run for (or apply to be a nominee for) one of the above roles. Your nomination by a colleague is required.

 The call for nominations will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2.

Candidates will be announced on Thursday, May 3.

The election will be held online from 9 a.m. Thursday, May 10 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 11.

Results will be shared on Monday, May 14.
